Microsoft has partnered with South African government’s Jobs Fund to grow the local economy and help small businesses who operate online expand their companies.
As part of the deal, the software giant has expanded its BizSpark programme to help create up to 600 technology start-ups over the next three years. Read more here:
Africa is the second biggest investment of Microsoft, next to China, as Microsoft South Africa’s Managing Director Mteto Nyati explained that although Microsoft is indeed heavily invested in the African continent, with projects such as the newly-announced BizSpark and Microsoft’s 4Afrika initiative, the company is always very involved in the local economies of all territories where the company has a presence.
