Job Duties & Responsibilities (among others)

• Serves as a member of the Editorial Board, evaluating issues that come before the board. Helps lead discussions aimed at formulating editorial position. Plans for and anticipates the flow of the news. Generates a steady stream of ideas for editorials and opinion features.
• Produces well-organized editorials that are timely, provocative and provide unexpected insights. Connects a wide range of subjects to the impact they have on readers’ lives.
• Able to write short, quick-hit opinion pieces on trending topics.

Job Qualifications/Requirements (among others)

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• At least five years of journalism experience
• Superior writing and reporting skills
• Demonstrated track record with social media and comfort adapting to online technology
