Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Position will focus on both federal and Northeast regional policy opportunities
• Full-time position
• Some specific responsibilities include
  • Design, conduct, and supervise technology and policy analysis to support advocacy efforts.
  • Manage the creation, production, and release of public facing products aimed at influencing key decision makers, informing UCS members and the general public, and achieving positive policy outcomes.
  • Participate in the development of UCS policy positions, prepare regulatory and legislative comments and testimony, and develop and recommend policy proposals.

Job Qualifications (among others)

• Requires a working knowledge of transportation and climate policy and strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• The position also requires knowledge of effective issue campaign development and understanding of the policy process, including advocacy techniques and legislative strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical experts and other professionals as well as with policymakers and the public is strongly preferred.
